QUESTION:
I’m worried about sharing my business idea and having someone steal it. How do I protect my ideas?
DANNY:
My perspective is that success is 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration, and even if you share what you’re doing with others in the group, that doesn’t mean they have the experience to deeply understand or act on it, nor the motivation and available time and resources. So I wouldn’t worry.
That said, if you’re concerned, you can always just focus on a different area of business or life – that’s your call.
For a second opinion, here is Derek Sivers, Founder of CDBaby’s thoughts: Ideas are just a multiplier of execution.
This is Rocky, the course technologist.
That’s a frustrating experience. Form submission isn’t perfect, because of different browser architecture and OS systems. And we’re diligently at work finding solutions.
If you have an issue:
Option 1) Visit (or click) on #rocky-i-broke-it and let me know what page(a URL would be great!) or screenshot. If it’s a form error, if you had the content, copy/paste it to me or send me the file. I’ll fix it on my end.
Option 2) There’s also a form, if it’s easier. (and if this works!)
The Strikes system is a method to keep you accountable. For more information, check out the Foundation Module, Lesson 4.
No Strikes =
1 Strike =
3 Strikes =
Rules:
If you miss a deadline, you will get a strike.
3 strikes, and you’re out! You can rejoin us in a future Strategy School cohort.
For example: If you miss Module 1’s Practice Exercise, Module 1’s Practice Peer reviews, and Module 1’s Module Assignment – then that’s 3 strikes, and you’re out.
Deadlines are for:
* Practice Exercises
* Practice Peer Reviews
* Module Assignments
* Module Peer Reviews
Events that don’t matter are:
* Attending the Q&A
* The Optional Reflective Exercise
* The Pre-class Practice Exercise/Peer Reviews (from May 22-28)
How to remove a strike:
If you complete a module without missing a single due date, then you get a strike removed.
Other notes:
*Strikes aren’t automatic. There’s people behind the screen, and if it’s a glitch, we’ll figure it out. 🙂
* We know that things come up. Life happens. That’s okay – accept the strike, and work hard next module to get it removed. But you still need to submit your work.
* If it was a technical issue stopped you from submitting on time, let us know via s2@learn.mirasee.com.
